Gumtree Reveals Where to Find the Cheapest iPad

Online listing company, Gumtree.com, has revealed that the cheapest place to get your hands on a second-hand iPad is Belfast.

The company compiled an infographic accumulating all the data from iPad listings on their site. The online listings company also reported a mass increase in the number of iPad first generations listed on the site after the launch of the iPad 2.

The data released gives savvy consumers an insight into the technology selling trends of the country, including the north south divide. Anyone can take advantage of the price difference around the country to pick up a bargain. The figures seem to suggest that many iPad owners were selling the older model in order to upgrade.

The South has the most iPads listed on the Gumtree website, but the north has the cheapest iPads on offer. iPads for sale in London contribute to over 40 per cent of the listings for the gadget on the site when compared with the rest of the United Kingdom.

The site also released data referring to the newest iPad, showing that the highest concentration of gadgets was once again in London with 59.5 per cent of iPad 2s being sold in the capital. The figures revealed that the most expensive place to buy an iPad 2 was Bradford and the least expensive was Exeter. They also calculated that the average price of the iPad 2 listed was nearly ten pounds more than the retail price.
